The position
As the Head of Staffs Finance, your primary responsibility is to drive value creation through proactive and strategic finance partnering, as well as process excellence towards the staff EVP areas. You and the team play a key role in ensuring that resources are allocated purposefully and according to strategic priorities. This is based on a foundation of strong financial knowledge and high-quality deliverables.
You will be in charge for:
- The financial management of the three key staff areas: Finance, Legal and Global Solutions (FLGS), Global People and Organisation (GP&O) and Global Business Development (GBD). This includes strategic resource allocation, budget development, investment profile and enabling value creation in the business through transparency
- Acting as an integrated member of the EVP-1 leadership teams across Staff areas
- Managing a team of finance partners in Denmark and GBS, in close collaboration with a team lead in Bangalore
- Driving financial solutions to business problems in a simple way, by combining a strategic mind-set with a practical approach
You will report to the Director of Staffs and CSCA Finance, be part of S&C leadership team and contribute to Business Finance continuously being a great place to work.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you have:
- Master’s degree in finance, economics or relevant fields
- Minimum 4 years of proven excellent track record within finance and or consulting
- Experience coaching and guiding junior team members
- Ideally, prior people management experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Your analytical mindset is accompanied by strong mindfulness including the ability to build relationships and establish credibility. You possess strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to drive personal impact, while investing time and effort.
About the department
you will be part of the Business Finance team at Novo Nordisk. Our team is dedicated to supporting the business in maximizing value creation and driving strategic resource allocation. We work closely with the SVP leadership teams across CSCA and with finance partners in Denmark and GBS. We strive to be a great place to work and continuously improve our understanding of the businesses we support.
