You will lead a global team of Senior Category Managers, Category Managers, Lead Buyers, and Buyers that develop and execute category strategies for multiple categories in conjunction with cross-functional project teams. Through business partnering you and your team will influence buying behavior and thereby maximize category value globally by identifying key saving opportunities, applying various procurement levers, build governance and policies for demand management and ensure compliance.

  • Category Leadership: Manage the sourcing and category management of indirect goods and services by applying a broad range of procurement strategies and levers, ensuring cost-effective, right quality, sustainable and timely procurement deliveries.
  • Strategic Business Partnering: Regularly interact with budget owners at EVP, VP, and Director levels to create joint pipeline, drive savings initiatives, influence procurement organizational behaviors, and enforce sourcing policies.
  • Value Creation: Focus on value creation through professional and transparent spend management, effective governance, clear accountability, and a functional mandate where Corporate Procurement becomes an integrated part of strategic business decisions related to external spend.
  • Source-to-Pay Process: Strategically oversee and improve the global end-2-end procurement process for indirect categories, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance across all stages of procurement.
  • Supplier Management: Develop and manage relationships with key suppliers, ensuring performance meets Lundbeck’s standards on risk management, regulatory compliance, Lundbeck’s sustainability targets and business ethics.
  • Pipeline Development and budget alignment: Identify savings opportunities for all indirect categories and work with budget owners and finance to anchor those savings within organizational budgets, ensuring transparent reporting and documentation.

The Senior Director position is based at our headquarters in Copenhagen/Valby, Denmark. Some international travel should be expected.
