Bavarian Nordic is seeking a Life Cycle Scientist to join their Global Manufacturing Science & Technology (Global MSAT) Department, with focus on vaccine production and life-cycle management.

Boost our team

Global MSAT is responsible for standardization and strategic alignment for implementation and life-cycle management of manufacturing processes and products. This spans across both our internal and external manufacturing facilities within Global Operations, to ensure consistent quality and regulatory compliance of all products.

The Global MSAT department currently comprises 50+ people, and we are now looking for a new Life Cycle Scientist. The team you will be joining consists of 14 scientists with a diverse set of skills, who report to the manager of the Life Cycle support team.

  • Role Overview: The Life Cycle Scientist will support strategic company goals by coordinating various life cycle activities and managing vaccines within Global Operations.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: The scientist will collaborate with various departments such as Regulatory Affairs and Quality Control, and report to the Manager of the Life Cycle support Team.

In scope of the team are life cycle management of commercial products, both drug substance and drug product, across our manufacturing sites and contract manufacturer. Scope of task and projects can be supporting strategic company goals by coordinating various life cycle activities and ensuring operational excellence. This could also include submissions of products to new market and business driven changes to products on the marked.

As a scientist you will work closely together with your colleagues within the Global MSAT department as well as colleagues across the organization, like Regulatory Affairs, Quality Control (QC) laboratories, Quality Assurance (QA), Production Development, and Commercial Production Sites including External Manufacturing sites.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within Life cycle management preferable from similar industries
  • Relevant scientific background, e.g. PhD or Master in Biochemistry, Biology, Chemical Eng., Pharmacy or similar.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Great stakeholder management and communication skills
