Responsibilities and qualifications
As a tenure track in this exciting project, you will play a pivotal role in advancing digital transformation methods and technologies. Your contributions will focus on one or more of the following areas:
- Cutting-Edge Research: Lead pioneering research in digital transformation methods and technologies.
- Software Design and Development: Drive the design and development of digital platforms, utilizing data, cloud, edge computing, and connectivity technologies to create scalable solutions.
- Teaching Excellence: Deliver high-quality courses in software engineering and cloud computing at both undergraduate and graduate levels, shaping the next generation of industry-ready professionals.
- Collaborative Project Management: Work with peers to manage projects and pursue funding opportunities aligned with your research expertise.
- Academic and Industry Collaboration: Build strong partnerships with academic and industry stakeholders, enhancing research outcomes and promoting real-world applications.
- Active Group Participation: Engage actively in group activities, sharing insights and advancements within the academic community.
- Student Supervision and Mentorship: Provide thesis supervision, mentorship, and guidance to students, fostering their growth and development in software engineering disciplines.
You must contribute to the teaching of courses. DTU employs two working languages: Danish and English. You are expected to be fluent in at least one of these languages, and in time are expected to master both.
As formal qualification you must hold a PhD degree (or equivalent).

Furthermore, we will assess these criteria:
- Domain Expertise in Smart City Domains: Expertise within smart city domains such as energy, mobility, and related sectors.
- Funding experience: Contributions to funding writing application and attracting external and internal funding.
- Public Sector Collaboration: Experience in establishing relationships with authorities, particularly regarding industrial research collaborations and research-based consultancy with the public sector.
- Cutting-Edge Technology: Proficiency and experience with state-of-the-art technologies relevant to smart cities.
- Self-Motivation and Independence: Self-driven and highly independent, capable of initiating and executing projects with minimal supervision.
Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
Starting date is according to mutual agreement. The position is a full-time position.
