GomSpace Luxembourg SARL is looking for a “DevOps Engineer”.
The GomSpace Group, headquartered in Aalborg, Denmark, is a nanosatellite specialist established in 2007, listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange and with a very good track record in the market for nanosatellites. GomSpace Luxembourg is running satellite operations in the newly developed and growing Innovation and Technological hub of Luxembourg, located in the city of Belval.
We are seeking an experienced engineer to join the growing innovation team in Luxembourg. Can you imagine yourself responsible for designing, developing and maintaining the GomSpace Hands-off Operations Platform (HOOP)? A modern highly scalable cloud-based platform to operate the space and ground segment of multiple satellite constellations projects. You will work in a multinational engineering team and participate in defining, designing, implementing, documenting, testing and releasing new features.
🚀 Your mission
- Working as part of our software engineering team, leading DevOps practices, collaborating with colleagues on code reviews, continuous improvement and enforcement of coding best practices
- Creating, optimizing and maintaining an optimal platform and CI/CD pipeline
- Driving automation of application deployment for test and production environments
- Build tools to automate, simplify and de-risk processes
- Defining monitoring requirements and implement automated incident resolution solutions
- Manage technical releases including software deploys and de-risking deploys
- Analyzing requirements and translating them into technical solutions
- Optimizing the DevOps processes and tools to reduce the operational costs and shortening the development loop
- Documenting and enforcing the CI & CD processes
- Work collaboratively with the development, testing and operational teams
- Owning and improving the quality and delivery of the solutions you build
- Sharing your expertise and knowledge with others as well as helping them to grow
- Contributing to the tech roadmap, the tech radar and our collectives
- Proactively participate in Scrum ceremonies
👨💻 Your Profile
- A strong and deep level of understanding of Continuous Integration and Deployment concepts and tools, including SCM (Git) and CI servers (Jenkins / Github Actions)
- Strong knowledge and proven working experience with Cloud environments and providers (AWS, MS Azure)
- Strong knowledge of developing Infrastructure-as-Code. Ability to understand and implement Infrastructure-as-Code principles (Terraform/Terragrunt)
- Experience with Linux environment, bash and python scripting
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Helm)
- Good level of understanding of networking, DNS resolution, proxy servers (Nginx, Traefik)
- Good level of understanding regarding database administration, including ElasticSearch, MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Experience with system monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana is a plus
- Experience with messaging systems (RabbitMQ) is a plus
- Cybersecurity knowledge
- Working experience in Agile / Scrum / DevOps teams.
- Strong team player.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good technical, analytical and communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
- Results-driven mindset with analytical skills and the ability to innovate.
- Quick learner. Able to catch up fast with new technologies.
