To drive sustainable development in rail infrastructure, we are looking for a Power Supply Engineer to join our team. We are a dynamic team of over 500 professionals working on some of Denmark’s most innovative and complex projects in railways and infrastructure. We are excited to have been involved in major projects such as the Future S-trains in Copenhagen and the expansion of the station at the airport in Kastrup, electrification of the new line VestFyn, as well as advising on light rail systems in Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Participate in interdisciplinary railway projects and handle independent electrical technical projects and tasks.
- Collaborate across geographical boundaries with various railway and technical disciplines.
- Prepare project plans and proposals, engage in detailed planning, and participate in function tenders with customers.
- Perform construction management and supervision, provide high-voltage and power supply technical advice on independent tasks on larger Danish and international railway- and construction projects.
- Work directly with contractors on design tasks.
You will primarily work on projects based in Denmark, Norway, or Sweden, with potential support for COWI projects globally. Experience in track engineering within Scandinavia and a specialty in high-current or driving current supply would be advantageous.

Furthermore, you can relate to the following:
- You are a Power supply engineer (Stærkstrøms ingeniør in Danish), machinist (Maskinmester in Danish, with speciality in electrical engineering), electrician with authorization (El installatør in Danish) or electrician with relevant training and experience.
- You can express yourself clearly in Danish/Scandinavian and English, both in writing and orally.
- You have a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in Power supply and/or high voltage engineering consulting and implementation, gained from another consulting firms, energy companies or contractors.
- You are familiar with international norms and standard within electrical engineering and with the danish Electrical Safety Act (Elsikkerhed loven in Danish).
- Have strong professional knowledge, and can handle technical tasks independently witin Power supply, high-voltage and/or earthing and bounding.
- Working with Microsoft Office tools
It is considered an advantage, but no requirement, if you are experienced with:
- Railway and is familiar with the associated international and national norms and rules
- EMC/EMF and earthing and bounding
- Green transformation.
- Electrical CAD tools such af SeeElectrical, PCSchematic and Eplan
- Power supply simulation tool Power Factory
- General CAD tools, such as Microstation and AutoCAD.
