Power Derivatives - Exchange Desk Manager

Key accountabilities
- Operate Exchange desk core tasks, such as order management, trade registration and assistance with trade cancellation.
- Be in regular contact with market participants contributing to the liquidity of the Power derivative market and ensure awareness of the activity on the order book.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants, including trading members, market makers/ liquidity providers, non-executing brokers, ISVs.
- Promote the Exchange desk as first point of contact for Trading Members and Non execution brokers in the Power derivative market.
- Provide market participants with education on the use of power futures contracts for risk hedging.
- Participate in and lead power future-related seminars during the year.
- Provide technical information to market participants, such as new product details or graphic user interface usage for all relevant trading and clearing front ends.
- Help with the onboarding of new Trading members, from sales and marketing until ready for trading.
- Work hand in hand with other members of the Exchange desk team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation.
- Provide client support and advise on client onboarding on new products / initiatives until go live.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in operational efficiencies and tools to enhance the day-to-day operational activities, evaluating and selecting improvement opportunities that provide long-term value and minimize operational risks, secure an orderly market.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as Operations, EMS, Sales and Product/Business development.
Your profile
- 5+ years of experience in the derivative market.
- Knowledge/exposure to power market, specifically in the Nordics, is a big plus.
- Strong commercial, analytical and technical acumen and strategic awareness.
- Existing relationships with Nordic power derivative market participants is beneficial.
- Experienced in team management.
- Ability to work in a fact paced environment.
- Fluent in one or several Nordic languages.
