In this exciting role you will span across a variety of tasks ranging from strategic decisions to daily operations, always with support from our Group Business Service Center. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Denmark, our global organization, and share a passion for delivering high-quality solutions to support our ambitious and expanding business areas.
VELUX established a global in-house bank and payment factory in 2015 connected to the 4 primary banks within the Group. This manages the largest part of the VELUX Group’s liquidity and payments. The Internal bank is operated on a daily basis in our Group Business Service Center in Warsaw together with daily FX exchanging and banking connectivity and access.
Key responsibilities:
As our new Senior Treasury Manager you will be responsible for coordinating all treasury tasks across VELUX, while fostering strong collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders). You will drive treasury projects, cash management and financial risk management within the VELUX Group.
The role will have close collaboration with VKR Group Treasury and report directly to the head of FP&A and Treasury in VELUX.
This is a fairly new position within VELUX, and you will have the exciting opportunity to establish the function, define our treasury agenda, increase the impact of treasury and interact with top management.
Key tasks will include:
- Drive VELUX’s treasury strategy, policy and operations
- Cash management: VELUX Internal Bank (SAP), Cash pools, account management, payment solutions and trade finance
- Cash flow forecasting, short and long term
- Foreign exchange and commodity risk management
- Ensure intercompany funding and agreements
- Monitor and improve the capital structure of VELUX affiliates
- Develop and lead VELUX treasury projects
- Prepare monthly treasury reporting in collaboration with SSC for VELUX Group management and VKR Holding
- Drive the risk management agenda in VELUX; including opportunity to work on ERM, BIA and Insurances.
In addition to the above key responsibilities, you will potentially be involved in other areas of the finance function, depending on your interests and experience. Especially within the Risk Management, including Insurances, ERM, BIA etc.
Who we are looking for:
We need someone to bring VELUX treasury to the next level and build up the function and area.
Ideally your qualifications match these, but we value the right person and the right attitude highly.
- Experience: You have extensive experience within corporate finance/treasury from an international organization, with a strong background in global cash management, treasury tasks, and preferably SAP in-house bank.
- Risk management: The ideal candidate is a natural risk manager and uses the skill-set across the organization.
- Technical Proficiency: You are proficient in payment solutions, Excel and communicate fluently in English, both in writing and orally. Danish language competencies will be an advantage.
- Education: You hold a master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as CFA or CTP are a plus.
- Skills: You possess excellent people skills, enabling you to build efficient relationships at all levels in the organization. You have a curious mindset, are proactive in your working style, and have strong skills in cash management, risk assessment, financial analysis, and strategic planning.
- Soft Skills: You are a team player with strong communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
