About the role:
If you are passionate about ensuring the reliability and scalability of cloud-based applications, this is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in a thriving industry. We are looking for a Platform Engineer for our Platform team – to ensure consistent reliability and build cloud infrastructure for product growth.
As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the infrastructure that supports our Queue-it services, ensuring seamless operation and high availability of our SaaS platform. You will design, implement, and maintain robust cloud infrastructure that supports scalability and reliability, across multiple cloud platforms. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and support teams, to proactively identify and resolve any system or service-related issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize a reliable and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure to host all Queue-it services.
- Collaborate with developers to create automation solutions and implement an infrastructure as code approach.
- Monitor critical applications and services to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings by analyzing different cloud service providers and leveraging best practices.

What we're looking for:
- Proficient in cloud product suites
- An automation wizard with good scripting skills, know Linux terminal by heart and love to deploy opensource software on the cloud
- Understanding of computer networking, Internet Protocol, firewalls, DNS etc.
- Experience working with orchestration frameworks (eg. Kubernetes)
- Experience with DevOps tools and practices
- Experience with AWS cloud and .Net ecosystem is preferred
- Understand that Security is an integral part of Reliability
- Ability to take ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with designers, project managers, and developers
- Proficient in English
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of site reliability engineering experience.
- 2+ years of experience with AWS.
- Preference for experience with Azure DevOps
