Senior Sustainability Specialist
At Danish Crown we are challenging ourselves and taking the lead in finding sustainable solutions. As an important part of this, we are looking for a Senior Sustainable Specialist, for an established position, who can develop and implement our ambitious LCA model and join us in implementing our sustainability strategy in Danish Crown.
Drive and implement our strong sustainability strategy across the business
Overall, you will be a part of the strong Sustainability Team in Danish Crown and joining one of the most exciting sustainability journeys in the business today – transforming agriculture.
Your most important task will be to secure the implementation and further development of our new LCA model together with colleagues, the business, farmers, production sites and customers. You will take the lead in continuously developing and improving our LCA standards, data processes, and metrics to build strong transparency and support for strategic decision-making across our business. You enjoy working with complex spreadsheets as you will collect, manage, and ensure the quality and integrity of data from multiple sources throughout our value chain from farms, abattoirs, processing sites and customers.
To succeed in this role, you also have a natural flair for working closely with the business and external stakeholders daily.
Here is a list of some of your daily tasks:
- On an overall level, deliver strong knowledge on LCA systems for transparency, decision making and customer support
- Develop and improve Danish Crown´s LCA model, data processes, and metrics
- Coordinate and collect data across the business
- Lead specific IT projects for data automation
- Perform climate calculations at product level using existing LCA models
- Collaborate with external consultants to continuously improve and strengthen our current LCA models
- Monitor market and regulatory trends on LCA and climate impact of food products e.g., labelling schemes
- Prepare and present materials for customer meetings as well as educate commercial and sales teams
- Manage the entire review/verification process for LCA models and data
- Act as key point of contact for all LCA and product carbon footprint related questions throughout the organization
A passion for sustainability and strong stakeholder management skills
We imagine that you hold a relevant education at master level. It can be within Environmental sciences, life sciences or similar. Experience within LCA standards is an advantage but not a must. For the right candidate, we will set up a thorough development plan together with internal and external resources, so you can become fully qualified for this important role.
You possess excellent project management skills, monitoring, following up, involving stakeholders, evaluating and reporting progress and results. You are a savvy data specialist, who communicates complex data in an easily understandable manner. You master English at negotiating level.
As a person you are detail oriented and structured, while at the same time having a track record of creating great relations with your stakeholders.
Approximately 15 travel days must be expected per year. Workplace is Danish Crown HQ in Randers, Denmark.
