Position Overview

The Sourcing Professional will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, services and products at competitive prices. This role involves collaborating with various departments, identifying and implementing cost-effective procurement strategies, owning the RFP process from start to finish, negotiating with suppliers, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing the supply chain to support our manufacturing operations.
There will be no direct reports for this position

- Develop and execute sourcing plans for various indirect categories (e.g., IT, marketing services, travel, HR services, facilities management, etc.).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive cost reduction initiatives, continuous improvements to achieve savings targets
- Lead supplier selection and negotiation processes, ensuring optimal pricing, quality, and service levels.
- Develop RFx documents, evaluate vendor proposals (scope, cost, timing, resource modeling, risk, etc.), make vendor recommendations, and vet vendor qualifications in collaboration with business units to ensure project success
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Prepare benchmark spend reports to ensure proper sourcing planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements in all sourcing activities
- Assist with resolving supply, pricing, quality, delivery, and any other issues with suppliers
- Participate in special projects as assigned
- Coordinate sourcing efforts across all North American divisions with a large stakeholder group
Competencies (Knowledge and Skills needed for this position.)
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently
- Must be comfortable dealing with internal partners and external vendors
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must maintain a professional appearance and attitude
- Must have good organizational and time management skills
Required Education (if necessary):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management, or Finance or equivalent experience.
Experience (if necessary):
- 3-5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement role(s)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel
- Must have experience with supplier negotiations, should be able to independently source and negotiate contracts with suppliers that deliver cost savings and other benefits to the company.
- Have some experience with Category Strategies to participate in developing and implementing category strategies that aligns with the Group Indirect Procurement and GNs overall goals and objectives.
- Must have experience Spend analysis and be able to analyze spend data to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Experience with demand management initiatives to identify and implement initiatives that optimize demand.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Open office environment, located near a manufacturing facility and home office

Sitting, standing, lifting (no more than 40lbs)
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
Full-time position, scheduled Monday-Friday with majority of time on-site (some flexibility with working from home also).

Pay Transparency Notice:
Depending on your work location, the target annual salary for this position can range from $77,710 to $95,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Compensation for roles at GN depend on a wide array of factors including but not limited to location, role, skill set, and level of experience. To remain competitive, GN offers a competitive benefits package, including annual bonuses, health insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and paid holidays.
