Director, Customized Engineering
Hartmann Technology, a global leader in innovative moulded fiber production technology, is seeking an experienced professional taking up a new role in the organization as Director, Customized Engineering. The new Director will lead and drive customized engineering within machinery, process and automation. The role offers the chance to shape the future of Hartmann Technology. The position reports to a Senior Vicepresident who besides being overall responsible for Hartmann Technology also is member of the Hartmann Group´s global management team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the new organization consisting of four competence areas.
• Secure success in the customized engineering deliverables and a continuous development of the employees and the organization.
• Lead & build up new roles as Technical Leads within core technology areas. The Technical Leads will secure cross functional collaboration to enable continuous improvements of our core technology and documentation.
• Drive the design and engineering of machinery, and equipment, pushing boundaries in the industry.
• Support and guide layout designs, P&I diagrams and process designs for specific projects.
• Support and guide design and deliverables of electrical hardware and PLC/software systems for specific projects.
• Ensure deliverables and excellence in the moulds & tools design including support to the implementation of new moulded fiber products.
• Conduct CE risk assessments to ensure compliance with European safety standards.
• Improve work methods and processes within the department in collaboration with other functions in Hartmann Technology.

What we’re looking for:

• An experienced people manager with proven leadership experience leading diverse engineering teams and/or departments.
• An experienced “engineering all-rounder” who has worked either directly or indirectly with all the different engineering disciplines represented in this new function and thus demonstrated experience in driving changes and leading the engineering of customized machinery and technologies.
• An individual who holds a passion for driving engineering excellence.
