About the job
The TMS Road team is part of Digital Solution in IT and is an agile DEVOPS team dedicated to delivering, maintaining, and operating robust and efficient solutions. Our primary focus is ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of CarLo, supporting more than 1,200 users in their daily operations with Road, Sea and Air transportation.
IT is based at Blue Water Shippings headquarter in Esbjerg, with hubs in other locations. If you are not based in Esbjerg you should be able to work from Esbjerg min. 2 days a week.
As an Transport Management Application Specialist you will be working closely together with your product team and end users of CarLo, in constantly ensuring CarLo lives up to business requirements and goals for the solution.
More specifically, your responsibilities include:
- Maintenance and second level of support on BWS TMS application, CarLo
- As part of the Product team, you contribute with designing, building, testing and deployment of new IT solutions and/or enhancement of existing solutions to our business
- Knowledge management targeted towards relevant stakeholders, hereunder Super, key- and end users and/or our service/support teams
- Creation and maintenance of documentation
- Contributing to agile ways of working internally in the Product team
- Actively participate in Product team ceremonies for day-to-day coordination and prioritization
Who are you?
Your functional and general competencies are important to fill out this role – your personality makes the difference and is a big part in selecting the right candidate.
Functional and general competencies:
- Experience as a Freight Forwarder with a flair for IT (e.g. Super User or part of IT projects)
- Ideally you have experience as a System Administrator or Support Agent for TMS, ERP or similar systems
- Experience with shipping industry relevant processes and ways of working
- An advantage with CarLo experience (either as Freight Forwarder or System Admin)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent in written and spoken, Danish and English
- Preferably experience working in an agile environment
- Having a continuous improvement mindset and ability to execute on those improvements
- Ability to take lead in a complex and demanding environment
Personal competencies:
- Exhibits a pro-active and focused work ethics with a high level of excitement for delivering valuable solutions and services
- Ability to take on an advisory role towards the customers of the Product Team
- High level of curiosity towards new solutions and possibilities without compromising the scope on a given task
