Senior Java Developer

About the role
We are looking for a skilled Senior Java Developer to join our SWUBS Tech team in Copenhagen.

You will become part of a small self-organized team currently consisting of five experienced developers and one Student Assistant. On a day-to-day basis we work closely with the business.

Our solution plays a central role processing payments and messages in Banking Circle, and it is part of the banks critical systems with focus on scalability and stability.

What you will be doing

• Migrating existing services from application server (WebLogic) to Quarkus in Kubernetes
• Optimizing of Docker images for performance and stability
• Develop new payment flows and features in collaboration with the business
• Support and maintain the system owned by the team
• Ensure code performance and maintainability

What we are looking for
To be the right candidate for this position, we expect you to have around 4 years of experience with hands-on development in Java, as well as experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

Furthermore, it would be great if you have experience with Quarkus (or similar), Oracle database including Oracle Advanced Queuing, Azure Service Bus, Azure Devops environments and Gradle Build tool. Knowledge of SWIFT would also be a benefit.

We expect you to have a genuine interest in software development, and you are not afraid to speak up, make suggestions and bring new ideas to the table based on your knowledge and experience.

As Banking Circle is an international company it´s a requirement, that you are fluent in English.
