Integration Engineer

In this role you will focus on building robust integrations between the Cognigy conversational AI platform and third-party systems such as Genesys, Netcracker, datalake and data warehouses. Your work will be critical in enabling intelligent customer interactions through voice and chatbot agents, as well as agent assistance.

As an Integration Engineer, you will play a dual role, handling technical integrations and supporting Conversation Designers in building advanced, technical flow structures within Cognigy. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technologies and make your own mark on AI Agents.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain APIs for integrating the Cognigy AI platform with third-party systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze integration requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain custom API integrations through both extensions and building flows containing business logic using JavaScript, ensuring access to external systems, DBs ect. for features.
• Collaborate with Conversation Designers to implement advanced flow-building tasks, embedding JavaScript directly in flow nodes to facilitate ease of use for nontechnical team members.
• Support flow optimization, ensuring that complex logic is well structured, documented, and accessible within
• Cognigy’s flow editor to give flexibility for Conversation Designers.
• Develop secure, scalable, and efficient code to facilitate seamless data exchange and functionality between systems.
• Implement authentication and authorization protocols to ensure secure data access and transmission.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of integrations, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Provide technical documentation for developed APIs and integrations, including usage guides and best practices.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in API technologies, Cognigy platform features, and third-party system updates to promote continuous improvement.
• Offer technical support and guidance for integration-related queries and troubleshooting.

We imagine that you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web development, or related field.
• Proven experience in API development, including designing, testing, and maintaining integrations.
• Solid understanding of RESTful and GraphQL APIs, API security best practices and tools like Postman
• Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Python
• Experience with VS studio or knowledge of similar integrated development environment (IDE) software.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus
• Preferred – Knowledge of Cognigy AI, Genesys, and Netcracker APIs is an advantage
• Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization protocols.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Danish Comprehension – being able navigate internal documentation and meetings.
