We are looking for a Business Finance Consultant to join our Global Business Finance & Project Controlling team in Aalborg. You will be key in ensuring financial transparency and efficiency across our innovative projects.
The Role
As a Business Finance Consultant, you will provide financial expertise and insights to support project management teams, ensuring effective cost control, budget alignment, and informed decision-making. Your role will be instrumental in optimizing financial processes and improving project performance in large-scale renewable energy investments.
Our team is truly global, with colleagues based in Denmark, Spain, Australia, and soon expanding to Japan and the US. We operate in a dynamic, international environment, fostering collaboration across borders. The team enjoys a high degree of freedom and flexibility, empowering individuals to take ownership and make an impact.
Your daily work will be from our headquarters in Aalborg, John F. Kennedys Plads 43, with a flexible work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted business partner to project management teams, supporting global renewable energy projects with financial insights.
- Oversee project-related cost control, ensuring accurate financial reporting and forecasting.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning in close collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial controlling systems and reporting tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making.
- Co-pilot new initiative to strengthen our external deliverables.
- Be a commercial sparring partner for internal stakeholders, ensuring support for decision-making.
About You
We seek a commercially minded finance professional with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach. You thrive in a collaborative, global environment and are eager to contribute to the renewable energy sector.
Your Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a finance business partnering, business controlling, or similar role.
- Experience in financial process automation and data-driven decision-making.
- A hands-on and pragmatic approach to delivering results.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Fluent in English.
- Experience in the renewable energy sector or large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus.
