Financial Controller, Nordics Finance & Accounting · Lynge, Copenhagen Region, Denmark

At WS Audiology, we are on a mission to make a wonderful sound part of everyone’s life. To support our growth, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Nordic Finance team and help ensure a streamlined and effective financial reporting process across Denmark, Sweden, and Norway.

Your team
As a key member of the Nordic Finance team, you will report directly to the Manager, Financial Controlling and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders. These include the Tax & Legal teams at HQ, Payroll, Compliance, and external accounting services based in the Philippines.

What you will do
In this role, you will play an important part in optimizing financial processes and ensuring compliance, while also contributing to ongoing projects aimed at improving efficiency and supporting long-term growth. Beyond your core financial controlling responsibilities, you will help maintain a high level of accuracy and compliance in financial reporting and support the organization in achieving both internal and external KPIs.

Your key responsibilities:

Accounting & Controlling

• Collaborate with and local oversight of Business Services (Shared Service Center in Manila)
• Ensure compliance with local tax and statutory filings in line with local GAAP
• Manage APP approval flow locally
• Perform bank reconciliation controlling
• Oversee salary run controlling
• Monitor mobile expense (T&E) controlling
• Validate and sample test payment approvals in Coupa/Bank
• Manage consignment valuation and master data governance

Reporting:

• Prepare and submit reports for Imperio, Intrastat, and VAT
• Execute month-end closing tasks, including balance sheet reconciliation
• Provide audit documentation
• Support Business Finance with financial insights
• Assist with intercompany reconciliation (ICC) and RTR support

What you bring
To succeed in this role, you should have a financial controlling background, ideally combined with auditing experience. Strong communication skills and a service-oriented mindset will be key in ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

Experience

• A degree in Finance (Cand. Merc. or equivalent)
• 2-3 years of experience in a financial controlling or auditing role
• Proficiency in Excel and experience working with ERP systems
• Solid knowledge of financial controlling, analysis, and internal controls
• Experience in statutory filings (GAAP/IFRS) and VAT compliance
• Familiarity with local authority filings such as Intrastat

Personal competencies

• Self-driven and proactive, with a problem-solving mindset
• Solution-oriented and knowledgeable, able to provide practical financial insights
• Strong collaboration skills, offering constructive support across departments

Our corporate language is English, so you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of one of the Nordic languages will be a plus.
