Job Description
Danfoss Editron manufacture and deliver the world’s most sophisticated hybrid and fully electric drivetrains for the Off-highway, On-highway and Marine sectors. The EDITRON system has been designed from the ground up to ensure maximum efficiency at real-world load speeds. The software-based approach allows for greater intelligent management of power distribution, delivering superior performance for heavy-duty applications in even the most demanding situations all while reducing both fuel consumption and associated emissions.

With a strong growth journey to triple the size of the business in next 5 years, this is a truly exciting time to join our organisation. Currently we have circa €130m in sales and 410 employees today, with our production and engineering facilities being in Lappeenranta (Finland), Nordborg (Denmark), Nanjing (China), and Longmont, CO (USA).

As we continue to accelerate business growth, Danfoss Editron is now hiring its Sr. Director Power & Charging Solutions, a role which will have full P&L responsibility. This role will ideally be based in Nordborg, Denmark, although we would also consider our sites in Finland or Italy for an exceptional candidate. This role will involve regular travel, both internationally and within Europe.

Job Responsibilities
As Sr. Director Power & Charging Solutions, we would expect you to:

• Get the basics right in leading the transformation of the current manufacturing sites in world-class operations with automotive standards.
• Leverage existing manufacturing capacity and experience, to provide value for the company and achieve operational excellence.
• Scale manufacturing and supply chain capabilities to align with the company's significant growth.
• Streamline the organization for profitability and establish the appropriate structure and organizational setup for the business.
• Drive change towards lean processes, innovation, an ownership culture, and a best-in-class mindset.
• Positively lead people into this new environment, emphasizing individual opportunities and the increasing significance of each employee.
• Make strategic decisions on priorities, technology strategy, make-or-buy considerations, and supplier management based on the specific value proposition within the competitive landscape and markets.
• Lead all operative and commercial functions along the value chain towards a common goal, a common success, and continuous development of processes and technologies.
• Collaborate with functions and other BU’s to determine needs and priority for company resources.
• Coach and develop employees, fostering a high-performing and diverse environment where employees are recognized for the value they create, with a strong focus on building a robust talent pipeline.

Background & Skills
Candidates for the role of Sr. Director Power and Charging Solutions should evidence the below:

• Demonstrable experience in power electronics and electrification, particularly within the off-highway equipment market
• Proven track record of sustainable growth of a company through customer growth and business development.
• Manufacturing experience and a track record of business development and portfolio management
• Has led comprehensive transitions of the basic constitution of an organization, such as carveouts, mergers, M&A, and integrations.
• Has successfully performed large organizational and structural transformations inside a company, such as cost optimizations, operational or financial restructurings, outsourcing programs, etc.
• Has boosted a company’s growth by making the right investment decisions and finding the right investment tools.

Education & Languages

• Strong technical and operational background, combined with excellent business education.
• Full professional proficiency in English is mandatory. Any other language will be an advantage.
