Business Product Manager – Battlefield Health
Utilise your expertise and help to develop our new business area as our new Business Product Manager for our Battlefield Health solution.
Embarking on the development of a new business area
Battlefield Health is Systematic’s new market unit within its Healthcare business unit. The unit combines Systematic’s existing and well-proven EMR and C4ISR solutions into a military medical information system, and utilises extensive domain knowledge and long-term experience to deliver critical decision support for healthcare professionals in the defence sector – globally.
Drawing on over 30 years of defence and healthcare expertise, Battlefield Health provides critical decision support for military and civilian personnel engaged in providing healthcare during battle, enhancing continuity of care, patient tracking and flow management. The SitaWare Battlefield Health platform offers a comprehensive multinational set-up to manage patient tracking and flow from incident to repatriation, delivering a recognised medical picture (RMedP) and supporting the operational requirements for military medical support.
Over the past year, we have developed an industrial prototype to showcase the product’s core functionalities and value. Now, we are ready to enter the next phase, where you will contribute to forming and designing the new product! And you will also be involved in building up the organisation.
Product managing a new product portfolio
As Business Product Manager, reporting to the director of the market unit, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercialisation and launch of our Battlefield Healthcare sales and product offerings. You will be responsible, among other things, for ensuring that our product offerings meet market needs and demands. The ideal candidate will possess management skills, excel in creating and maintaining organisational structures, and demonstrate proficiency in market and competitor analyses. A keen interest in customers and marketing is essential.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Identifying and defining market requirements for current and future product developments.
- Driving the product strategy, ensuring alignment with market needs and business objectives.
- Conducting market and competitor analysis through direct customer engagement to inform strategic product decisions.
- Leading the product roadmap definition with support from domain experts, architects, user experience designers, lead developers and business developers to ensure the product delivers on business objectives.
- Engaging with customers, industry stakeholders and our Defence sales teams at events to present product updates, gather feedback and identify improvement opportunities.
- Collaborating closely with key international customers to shape product development and ensure market fit.
- Working cross-functionally with marketing and international sales teams to drive product success.
- Supporting go-to-market efforts to ensure seamless product launches and sustained market growth, and providing pre-sale support.
- Managing and coordinating product-related projects with key customers.
- Travelling extensively (50–70 days a year) to engage with international customers and partners, fostering strong relationships and driving adoption.
Your primary focus will be collaborating with customers, sales and marketing teams. Additionally, you will work with the development team, user experience designers and technical architects at our headquarters in Aarhus to discover and define innovative solutions to new user requirements.
Experienced Product Manager with a strategic vision
We are seeking a results-driven commercially orientated Product Manager with 10+ years of experience in B2B or B2G products, solutions and services – ideally within the software technology industry. The ideal candidate possesses a strategic, business-savvy mindset and a strong track record in go-to-market execution, including price setting, product positioning, launch planning and customer acquisition. Additionally, you bring extensive expertise in sales enablement, presales, partner development and sales training to drive business growth and market success. Preferably, you will also have military domain experience with a background in military medical support.
We are seeking a candidate with the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in product management, with a strong focus on international markets.
- Good analytical skills and the ability to conduct in-depth market and competitor analyses.
- Organisational and management skills, with a structured and systematic approach.
- Proficiency in developing product concepts, with the ability to think abstractly and translate ideas into systems/models.
- A keen interest in customer relations, brand support, marketing and sales.
- A desire to travel up to 70+ days a year – and long distances – to collaborate closely with international teams and customers.
- Effective leadership and change management skills, particularly within strategy implementation and organisational development.
- Experience in sales/sales support, with a demonstrated track record of driving sales growth.
It is essential that you possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English. These skills will enable you to effectively navigate, influence and build relationships with stakeholders in leadership roles within both the customer’s organisation and at Systematic.
