Senior Production Specialist
Do you have experience in the manufacturing of liquid compounds and emulsions, and are you passionate about product technology, machinery, people, systems, and processes? Are you excited about the opportunity to help commission and ramp-up a brand-new, state-of-the-art production facility to produce liquid compounds? If so, you are an ideal candidate to join CO-RO at a critical point in time, where CO-RO is embarking on a journey erecting and implementing a brand-new State of the Art factory, supported by the best-in-class production systems.

To support this journey and to help ensure we achieve full benefit of all the new equipment we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Production Specialist to join our Product and Process Support team in Frederikssund. In this role, you will play a key role in the commissioning and ramp-up of our new factory, supporting the product qualification of all recipes. After transferring the recipes, you will support liquid manufacturing operations and help ensure efficient production of high-quality liquid products. You will troubleshoot production issues and optimize production processes and recipes to minimize waste and rework, in collaboration with our development team.

Key Responsibilities
Technical Support:

  • Provide technical assistance to production teams to resolve product quality related issues as well as issues related to system supported processes.
  • Provide expertise in troubleshooting production issues related to liquid production and filling.
  • Train production staff and SME’s on how to operate production processes through MES and related supporting processes, but standard operating processes as well as exemption handling.

New Product Implementation:

  • Ensure compliance between recipes in Recipe Development Software, Product Lifecycle Management Software, ERP and MES, both with regards to Recipe, Method of Manufacturing, Master Recipe, Master Product Recipe and Product Recipe in MES.
  • Implement and validate new recipes and MoM’s in MES.
  • Act as a key stakeholder to ensure the smooth transfer of new products from the innovation and creation phase to the production phase.
  • Own the responsibility of the new product implementation process from the production side by following a proper handover process, including attending trial and first production runs to confirm successful transfer to full-scale production.

Quality Control and Development Teams Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the Quality Control (QC) team on how to adapt raw materials into production through practical lab validation trials.
  • Align solutions with product developers for approval and ensure consistent product quality delivery.
  • Support QC in the evaluation of production and raw materials out of specifications.
  • In collaboration with Development, identify and adjust production recipes to resolve raw material and production issues
  • Review of raw materials inventory levels in collaboration with planning and when relevant find proper replacement solutions with approval and alignment with the development team.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze production workflows to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
  • Analyze and evaluate production processes to provide Development with suggestions for optimizing recipes to better fit production processes, especially focusing on minimizing waste and rework.
  • Implement best practices for ingredient handling, storage, and mixing to maximize efficiency and product quality.
  • Develop solutions for reworking produced batches to minimize waste and optimize resources.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Development and ownership of records for production activities, including batch logs, material usage, and quality control results (MES).
  • Prepare reports on production output, efficiency, and improvement initiatives.
  • Design production support procedures and instructions were relevant.

Production systems control:

  • Configure, troubleshoot, monitor, and maintain production systems (ERP/MES) with CORO IT, including maintaining and updating Master Data and testing software upgrades in a timely manner to reduce deployment risk
  • Maintain and update Master Data production fields in ERP/MES where relevant
  • Provide systems application production support where necessary.
  • Educate and empower production users with necessary capabilities in production systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in a food-related science or engineering field (Food Technology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, Agricultural Engineering or Food Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years working experience within beverage compound production preferably globally for blue chip beverage companies such as e.g. Coca Cola, Pepsi, ADM, Doehler, Firmenich, Iprona, Orana, etc.
  • Alternatively, 10 or above years’ experience in Liquid processing/food processing plants, of which 5 years should be in a supervisory role, preferably in the beverage industry.
  • Mastery and understanding of food industry best practices, Quality, regulations in respect to beverage compound & emulsion manufacturing, filling, raw material, and packaging.
  • Demonstrated mastery of all aspects of manufacturing of beverage compounds and emulsions.
  • Can provide expert input on beverage compounds with capability to cover raw material, formulation and process to ensure that beverage compounds delivered meet all safety, compliance, sensory and quality requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of production systems (ERP and MES) and quality control standards. Experienced with D365 and TrakSYS is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
