The Asset Forecasting department within Centrica Energy Trading has an open position for a Student Assistant. In the role, you have the exciting opportunity to work with renewable energy forecasts and analytics.
The Asset Forecasting team continuously works on developing new and better methods for improving forecast accuracy and data reliability during all steps of the forecast life cycle – from weather models to traded forecasts.
This position will be in our Copenhagen office.
The Role
In the role, you will assist the Asset Forecasting team with analytics and tools development.
Your responsibilities can include:
- Monitoring the performance of our portfolio
- Finding errors and areas of improvement and report to the team
- Maintaining and documenting a structured quality control process
- Provide operational feedback to tools development
- Carry out optimization and development of analytics platform
- Engagement in software development lifecycle
The Person:
In order to be successful in the role, you ideally have the following experience and competencies:
- Studying in fields of exact sciences (Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, IT or similar)
- At least two years left of studies
- Experience with data analysis
- Analytical mindset
- Eagerness to learn
Furthermore, experience with Python or PowerBI would be an advantage.
Most importantly, you have a desire to develop as a person and professionally and learn about renewable energy markets.
