HW Designer – Power supply

The Role
At DEIF A/S, we specialise in the development and manufacturing of electronic devices designed to seamlessly control and switch between various energy sources, including solar, diesel, and batteries, for efficient power production. In the role of HW Designer, you will play a key role in developing the Hardware parts of our products, with a special focus on power supplies, analog measurements, magnetics design, etc. You will work closely with other Hardware designers as well as Mechanical engineers, technical designers and production engineers.

Working tasks & responsibilities

• HW development of power supplies, analogue circuits and measurements, magnetic design, etc
• Design electronics for new and existing products, with focus on quality and cost
• Perform debug, test and verification of power supply and general Hardware
• Simulations within power supply and other analogue circuits (design, optimization, validation)
• Specify and validate filters and magnetics components for power supplies and other power electronics.
• Ensure compliance to safety, EMC/EMI standards and support certification testing
• Support thermal design and provide efficiency and thermal calculations
• Specify, develop, test and hand over Hardware to production
• Focus on DFM, be part of risk assessments and DFMEA
• Create and review technical documentation, including specifications, design description, schematics, test procedures, BOM´s etc.

What do you need to apply?
You hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree within electrical engineering or a related field and have several years of experience within switch mode power supply design, analysis, and testing. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are also essential.
