Senior HR Legal Manager

At our global HQ in Ballerup, Copenhagen, you will be part of the People & Culture Operations team consisting of 7 other colleagues. We support our Headquarter and other sites in Denmark within all areas of operational HR and have a collaborative approach helping each other out.

What will you be doing?
You are always updated on the employment law in Denmark, and you work closely with HR Business Partners and leaders across the organization on highlighting compliance requirements and general legal duty of care towards employees.

You will collaborate closely with numerous internal and external stakeholders. Internally you will primarily collaborate with People & Culture, Compliance, Legal, Payroll and Communication, as well as our people managers with employees in Denmark. Externally, you will primarily collaborate with our local industry bodies and external lawyers.

More specifically, your key responsibilities will be:

• Support leaders and HR Business Partners in all aspects relating to employment law
• Support the business in future re-organizations and acquisitions
• Ensure planning and implementation of legal requirements within employment law throughout the organization
• Supervise the compliance on GDPR and other global legislations relating to employees
• Manage potential mitigation actions
• Ensure that HR policies and templates are regularly updated and promote local adaptations when necessary

You have a solid understanding of business processes, compliance is second nature to you, and you are keen to challenge existing solutions. Also, with a cross-functional mindset, you navigate with ease across our organization, interacting with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels. Moreover, we expect that you have:

• A relevant master’s degree, or relevant qualification, within law
• Several years of experience working within the legal area in a similar corporate HR function, where you are an expert within Danish employment law
• Your experience has been gained within a global complex matrix organization and you have experience with international employment law
• Fluent in written and verbal English

Furthermore, we expect that you are an effective communicator, who Listens, Challenges and Transforms. You are an experienced and swift thinker able to “translate” business needs into actions. Your interpersonal skills are well-developed, you prioritize ethical practices, and you engage collaboratively to enhance what is best for the GN Group.
