As the Head of Commercial Excellence at Falck, you will be at the forefront of optimizing our commercial processes, ensuring that knowledge, best practices, and our unique value proposition are central to all our responses to international tenders. This is a role where you can truly make a difference - both in shaping Falck’s commercial strategy and in ensuring that our services reach the people who need them the most.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to transform Commercial Excellence into a robust international knowledge base, overseeing the entire commercial process from early engagement activities to bid management, costing & pricing, and contract management. You will be an integral part of our global commercial leadership team, reporting directly to the Global Chief Commercial Officer.

In this leadership position, you will guide a diverse team of over 10 dedicated professionals with expertise in bid management, bid writing, costing & pricing, and contract management. You will play a key role in creating an inclusive and empowering team culture, where collaboration and innovation thrive. With team members located in both Aarhus and Copenhagen, your physical presence in these locations will foster collaboration and strengthen our team spirit.

About the job

• Early Engagement (pre-tender):Collaborate with the Early Engagement Lead to develop structures that facilitate proactive engagement across Falck’s ambulance countries, ensuring that Falck is positioned well during the pre-tender phase
• CRM and Pipeline:Lead the development and management of our CRM system to effectively track and manage Falck’s international ambulance business pipeline
• Bid Management:Ensure that Falck consistently presents compelling value propositions, focusing on solution selling, and strategic costing & pricing
• Processes:Promote clear processes and internal governance. This applies to local and global sales, other group functions as well as local management
• Governance:Act as the process owner for the bid process, ensuring governance and sign-off are transparent and collaborative
• Pricing, Costing and Benchmarking:Develop and maintain simulation models for future contracts and benchmark existing services, prioritizing a collaborative approach with local operational teams to costing and approvals
• Commercial Analysis:Analyse customer needs, develop tailored value propositions, and conduct competitor analysis with a with a strong emphasis on understanding different stakeholder needs
• Contract Management:Oversee ongoing contract management in the Danish operations of Ambulance and Fire, ensuring that our practices are equitable and effective
• Support to Falck BUs:Provide support and ensure governance adherence on significant tenders in other Falck business units, fostering a culture of teamwork
• Commercial Leadership:As a member of the Global Commercial Leadership team, you will champion customer orientation and promote a progressive commercial agenda, nurturing talent and professionalism within your team

About you We seek an experienced commercial leader with a strong international track record in managing large tenders and tendering processes. You should possess:

• Expertise in developing complex, tailored solutions that meet diverse customer needs
• A natural ability to inspire and empower teams, ensuring that all voices are heard and valued.
• Strong communication skills, enabling you to achieve results through diplomacy and collaboration
• Confidence in engaging with various cultures and personal styles, building trust with local stakeholders and partners
• A passion for driving positive change and fostering an inclusive work
• The ability to navigate different organizational levels with ease
• A strategic mindset paired with an empathetic leadership style
• Experience in managing complex projects while maintaining a people-centric approach
• Experience with B2G sales is advantageous but not a requirement
