About Us:
At ROICO we are developing a collaborative painting tool using robotic technology. We empower painters with a solution that works alongside them allowing them to focus on the high-value and value-creating tasks. This tool will help painters strengthen their business, reduce physically demanding tasks, and address the rapidly increasing labor shortage. We make robotic solutions that work together with people.
Your Role:
As an Embedded Software Engineer - Intern, you will be working on improving the reliability and performance of our microControllers. Your responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Work with different microControllers such us ESP32, Raspberry Pi pico, STM32
- Work with data from various sensors, and actuators
- Extend communication using CANBus
- Improve performance and reliability using RTOS
- Potentially design and test PCBs

- Work remotely, but sometimes work with the robot will be necessary
- Work with a variety of sensors and communication protocols
What We're Looking For:
- Relevant (ongoing) education, ideally Electronics, robotics or software engineering
- Proactive problem-solving attitude
- An eye for details and aesthetics
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Familiarity with Git
- Familiarity with RTOS
- Experience with PCB design is a plus but not required
- Understanding of ROS2 is a plus but not required
- Experience with different communication protocols I2C, SPI, CANBus
- Duration 3 - 6 months
- Fluent in English
