We are looking for two Senior Backend Developers to join our Umbraco Cloud teams.
Umbraco is the friendly CMS that has been tested, used, and praised for more than 20 years by thousands of websites worldwide. Umbraco Cloud streamlines cloud hosting for the Umbraco CMS, providing a fully managed platform packed with features for customers, large and small, to build how they want to build. The role
The purpose of the role is to strengthen two of our cloud teams. With your experience and knowledge, you will help grow and improve Umbraco Cloud and make it better and friendlier for our customers to work with. The teams you will be joining develop and run different services that provide functionality in areas such as:
- Upgrading and deploying Umbraco websites to the cloud
- Payments and billing
- Identity and authentication
- Tracking project lifetime and resource usage
You can expect your day-to-day work to involve:
- Building and improving shiny new services that contribute to the success of Umbraco
- Developing and maintaining existing services with bug fixes and incremental improvements
- Monitoring our existing services and supporting our colleagues who use them
- Architecting, analyzing, and breaking down features and ideas into deliverables

The ideal candidate will tick many of the following, but still apply if you think this job is for you!
- 6+ years of experience in engineering software with modern C# and .NET
- Experience with relational databases (we use SQL Server and PostgreSQL)
- Experience with building well-designed REST APIs
- Experience working with distributed systems
- Ability to contribute to software architecture and design
You get bonus points for:
- Experience with identity, authentication, and authorization
- Experience with Umbraco CMS
- Hands-on experience with Azure (App Service, Key Vault, Service Bus, Functions, etc.)
To succeed in this role, it is key that you are able to collaborate with colleagues with different skill levels and backgrounds, but also work independently when needed. We are looking for someone who is comfortable mentoring others and contributing to their development.

This is a full-time position of 37 hours/week. You will work primarily at our headquarters in Odense, with the flexibility to work remotely up to 3 days a week and also have longer periods of remote work.
