Development Engineer
Banking Circle
Banking Circle is establishing a new footprint in Singapore for its Client Platform. We are looking for .NET Development Engineers at all experience levels who combine strong technical ability with a business-focused mindset. The Singapore team will drive our Web3 ambitions and strengthen our API presence in the APAC region.
Banking Circle is a fintech, bank, and fun all in one. We are on a journey to become payment pioneers. Every day up to 2 million payments run through our platform. We work closely with central banks and clients worldwide to constantly improve our payment flows. Banking Circle was founded in 2013, and today we are a fully licensed bank with 750 colleagues in 9 countries. We are still growing rapidly, and we invite you to join us and experience a fun and international workplace, where people prefer to come to the office rather than work from home.
Exciting work is waiting for you
As our new Development Engineer in the Client Platform team in Singapore, you’ll take ownership across the full product lifecycle — from specification and design to testing, deployment, and support. You’ll contribute to business-critical products with high-volume throughput, where quality, performance, and reliability truly matter.
The Client Platform teams design, build, and maintain Banking Circle’s client-facing APIs, UIs, and internal automation tools. We work end-to-end — from concept to deployment — in close collaboration with business stakeholders and clients. Our platform runs on a tech stack that includes .NET (C#), REST APIs, MSSQL, multi-region Active/Active microservice architecture, unit and end-to-end testing, Git & Azure DevOps, solution design, and Kubernetes for deployment.
Our main development hub is in Copenhagen, Denmark, and as an early member of our new Singapore unit, you’ll play a key role in shaping our APAC initiatives across two specialist teams:
- Web3 (Stablecoin): a new domain focusing on emerging payment technologies and digital asset flows.
- Payments API (including reporting): an established domain focused on scaling and refining our existing core payment products.
Candidates will typically join one of these teams based on their skills and interests.
We offer a hybrid work model for our employees to allow for flexibility and productivity. However, we do expect you to spend most of your time in the office to build community and efficiency in the team.
Who we are looking for
Our developers come from many paths, including computer science, software engineering, mathematics, physics, and beyond. What matters most to us is problem-solving ability, a product mindset, and strong communication skills. Prior experience with our technologies or domains is an advantage, but not a requirement — we support on-the-job learning for high-potential candidates.
- Junior engineers are evaluated on raw talent and potential.
- Senior engineers are expected to bring deep expertise in our tech stack and business domains.
Banking Circle is an international company. Our internal workforce consists of over 50 nationalities, and our clients and partners are located all over the globe. Therefore, our company language is English.
