WWF is seeking a dedicated and passionate Director for Partnerships, to unlock and grow diversified funding opportunities for nature action across corporate, public, and foundation partners.

The Job
WWF Denmark’s strategy sets an ambitious vision to halt biodiversity loss by implementing large-scale projects, reducing Denmark’s footprint on nature, and mobilizing society to protect the planet. Delivering this requires stronger, more strategic partnerships with corporations, foundations, and public actors to secure sustainable and diversified funding.

The Director for Partnerships will play a pivotal role in enabling this ambition, leading the development and execution of WWF Denmark’s partnership plan to secure new and expanded funding streams from corporate, public and foundation partners.

Experience
The ideal candidate:

• Long standing experience of leading teams and driving strategic initiatives, with strong interpersonal skills to inspire and build credibility internally and externally.

• Experience with creating partnerships and funding pipelines, with proven success in securing large, multi-year agreements across corporate, foundation, and public sectors.

• Deep understanding of corporate and foundation funders, their motivations, and decision-making dynamics, supported by a strong high-level network.

• Ability to identify mutual value creation opportunities, represent WWF’s value proposition at senior levels, and leverage ESG and sustainability trends.

• Demonstrated ability to structure and grow funding portfolios, diversify income streams, and strengthen organizational funding resilience.

The successful candidate is a senior leader with expertise in partnerships, fundraising, and corporate engagement. Is passionate about WWF’s mission, results-driven, pragmatic, and fluent in English (Danish a plus). Operating with integrity and delivers systemic impact for nature.

Hiring details
The Director of Partnerships is expected to join early 2026. The salary will be determined after individual negotiations.
