YOUR MISSION AT VOI
As a Senior Platform Engineer in Voi’s Platform team you will have the opportunity to greatly impact the productivity of all engineering teams across the company. The Platform team builds and operates our GCP based cloud infrastructure and our data platform.

Our platform uses a combination of modern cloud-managed services and open-source solutions, and it powers the micromobility revolution where we operate over 150K connected vehicles across Europe. The scale requires high reliability, scalability, and developer experience, and you will play a critical role in making this possible.

Our cloud tech stack includes GCP, Golang, Github Actions, ArgoCD, Grafana, Prometheus, Mimir, Jaeger, and on the data side Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt. In this role you will:

• Challenge the status quo and lead hands-on efforts to improve our cloud platform infrastructure in areas such as: simplification, reliability, security, cost optimization, and future architecture.
• Evolve our Developer Experience in a direction that improves the productivity and satisfaction of all R&D teams.
• Solve cross-domain problems by working closely with engineers across backend, data, machine learning, web, mobile and IoT.
• Automate processes within Infrastructure Operations, Security configuration and monitoring, and Cloud Identity Access Management.
• Drive new ideas and initiatives regarding Platform, Security & Developer Experience vision.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK
You bring solid experience and skills in Software Engineering, DevOps, and cloud infrastructure. At the same time, we don’t expect you to know everything. We promote a culture of learning and sharing and we expect all team members to help each other grow professionally. In addition to having strong communication skills, we believe the right person has:

• Several years of professional experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, Software Engineer or Security Engineer with DevOps responsibilities.
• Experience managing cloud-native infrastructure (GCP or equivalent) and IaC tools (we use Terraform).
• Experience in setting up CI/CD tools for multiple teams and services.
• An understanding of database operations (we use PostgreSQL).
• Experience in managing logging, monitoring and alerting Infrastructure (we use Open Telemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, and Google Cloud Monitoring).
• Experience in building and operating data platforms is meriting (we use Snowflake and dbt).
• A hands-on, proactive approach - leading by example, demonstrating self-leadership, and showing strong commitment to goals.
• A collaborative and inclusive mindset—thriving in small teams, working openly with colleagues and engaging stakeholders.
