As a part of our vision to enrich people’s lives through stories, we’re expanding our Web team in Stockholm - the team that connects new audiences to those stories through engaging user experiences, acquisition, and subscription services - by hiring a Senior Backend Engineer. In this role, you’ll take ownership of backend architecture, scalability, and key integrations that power our acquisition funnel - helping users discover and subscribe to Podme.

What You’ll Do

• Write clean, efficient, and readable code using best practices in .NET
• Architect scalable, reliable, and secure systems that support the web platform
• Integrate with external services such as payment (Adyen, Vipps) and verification providers (SheerID)
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and other teams like CLM
• Own features end-to-end: from planning and implementation to deployment and monitoring
• Refactor legacy areas for improved maintainability and clarity
• Support and mentor peers to raise engineering standards across the team

What You Bring

You’re a backend engineer who takes pride in writing thoughtful code and owning real product impact. You’re structured in how you work, collaborative with teammates, and comfortable leading initiatives from start to finish.

• Senior-level experience in backend engineering (.NET preferred)
• Strong experience with C# / .NET 9 and building scalable services
• Comfortable working with Azure, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, MS SQL, Redis
• Experience with microservice architecture and observability practices
• Ability to integrate with external systems (e.g. payments, verifications)
• Self-led, product-aware, and resilient in solving complex problems
• Bonus: experience mentoring others or working in SaaS environments
