Job Description
Are you passionate about data, risk management, and improving governance processes? Do you enjoy turning complex information into clear insights that enable better decision-making? Join us as a Tax Governance Controller and help strengthen the LEGO® Group’s global tax governance framework!

Core Responsibilities

As a Tax Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting our tax governance framework through data analysis, risk assessment, and partner communication. You will work closely with colleagues across Global Tax, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to ensure our tax processes are robust, transparent, and well-aligned with organizational goals.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting in-depth data analysis across multiple databases to identify and report on risks, incidents, and tax audit activity.
  • Preparing and maintaining dashboards for the tax team, using data visualization tools to present complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Generating high-quality reports for senior partners, including the Audit Committee and CFO.
  • Collaborating with the wider tax team to identify upcoming changes in tax legislation and assess business implications.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of tax policies that reflect legal requirements and guidelines.
  • Acting as part of the second line of defence to help identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the business.

Global Tax has end-to-end accountability for tax matters across the LEGO Group, including corporate tax, indirect tax, employment tax, customs, tax reporting, and governance. We work closely with Finance, Legal, and the Business Service Organization to maintain compliant, efficient, and transparent tax processes!

Do you have what it takes?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in tax governance—as an advisor or in-house within a multinational environment.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, including experience with data analysis across multiple sources.
  • Proficiency with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across functions.
  • Ability to interpret complex information and present it in a clear, concise, and actionable format.

What would be an advantage?

  • Experience with governance reporting for senior leadership or audit committees.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
