Chief IT Software Engineer in Technology Platforms

Become a member of a dynamic team of experienced software engineers playing a pivotal role in Danske Bank’s technology transformation. As part of the Tech Platforms SVP office, our mission is to accelerate adoption of modern cloud practices, optimize performance and cost in public cloud environments, and make the developer experience seamless across the bank’s technology landscape.
This is not a traditional delivery team role. Our charter is broad and evolves continuously - from driving Danske Bank’s public cloud migration and improving developer journeys, to experimenting with and guiding adoption of our agentic AI platform. You’ll work directly in complex backend systems while influencing technology strategy across multiple domains.
What will you do
- Design and build high-quality, scalable software that enables faster and safer migration to public cloud.
- Partner with platform leaders and engineering communities to define best practices, patterns, and tooling for cloud-native development.
- Collaborate across teams to identify friction points and remove barriers for application developers.
- Prototype and implement solutions that enhance our agentic AI platform and its integration into our day-to-day developer workflows.
- Navigate ambiguous problems and turn them into well-defined technical outcomes.
What we imagine you bring
- Strong software engineering background with solid experience in backend systems.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms, and CI/CD toolchains.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguous contexts and convert them into tangible outcomes.
- Experience working with diverse teams and making strategic contributions.
