A glimpse into the role
As a Sales Manager you’ll be a key contributor to optimizing DESMI’s service processes. Your role mainly revolves around:
- Ensure quote follow ups from service engineers: Monitor and follow up on quotations issued by service engineers to secure timely customer responses, improve hit rate, and ensure accurate reflection of opportunities in the sales pipeline.
- Generate new sales/customers: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive customer outreach, lead qualifications and collaboration with internal stakeholders to grow revenue and expand the customer base.
- Key account management: Maintain and develop strategic relationships with key customers, ensuring regular contact, understanding of their needs, and coordination of tailored solutions to drive long-term partnerships and profitability.
- Project sales management: Manage minor sales projects and tenders from initial inquiry to contract signing, including coordinating technical and commercial input, preparing offers, negotiating terms, and ensuring smooth handover to execution and delivery teams.
- Technical specialist – electrical or mechanical: You take on the role as a specialist and sparring partner for both our customers and service engineers. Ideally you have both electrical and mechanical understanding. You also cooperate to combine the best solutions for our customers.

As someone who will be working as sales manager we are looking for a person who isn’t afraid of hunting down new customers but still has the stills to develop meaningful relationship with existing customers.
We also imagine that you:
- Have previous experience within B2B sales and/or key account management
- Bring a solid technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical equipment
- Ideally have segment experience from the pump industry, construction/contractor business or technical wholesale
- Are motivated by combining new business development with nurturing and growing long-term customer relationships
- Have an open-minded approach to a flexible position where you manage your own time. The service department is operating 24/7/365 so being flexible with working hours is must.
- Also, you should expect some travel around Denmark.
