IT Software Engineer, Chief

We are looking for an experienced and visionary engineer to join our Corporate Channels team as Chief IT Software Engineer. In this high-impact role, you will play a key part in developing Generative AI solutions within our Channels and Self-Service cluster, contributing to the organisation’s strategic ambitions in AI-powered customer solutions.

Your responsibilities
As Chief IT Software Engineer, you will collaborate on the design, development, and delivery of AI-enabled platforms and use cases within Corporate Channels. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with Danske Bank’s goals of delivering innovative, secure, and customer-centric solutions.

• Define and execute the technical vision for Generative AI initiatives within Corporate Channels, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams to develop AI-powered solutions for channels and self-service platforms, from concept to production.
• Create and optimise prompt engineering frameworks, enabling effective utilisation of Generative AI models and ensuring high-quality outputs.
• Partner with stakeholders to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and enhance customer experiences.
• Participate in cross-functional collaboration to deliver seamless, high-quality solutions that meet business and customer needs.
• Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring the delivery of robust, scalable, and efficient systems.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in Generative AI, prompt engineering, and cloud computing, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

A great match
We are seeking an experienced and collaborative engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 7–8 years of experience in software engineering and cloud computing. You have a proven track record of delivering innovative AI-based solutions in a complex enterprise environment.

Your qualifications include:

• Deep expertise in programming languages such as TypeScript, Python, or Go, and their associated frameworks.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform, including serverless architecture and cloud-native solutions.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Generative AI technologies, including GenAI model APIs, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques.
• Proficiency in enterprise security best practices and their application in cloud and AI initiatives.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Bonus points if you have:

• Experience in designing and implementing large-scale AI/ML systems in a regulated industry.
• Certification in cloud platforms or enterprise architecture.
• A strong network in the AI/ML community and experience representing organisations in external forums or conferences.
