You will join an international team, collaborating closely with our engineering professionals and leadership. Your primary role will be to ensure the best possible match between our skilled professionals and the diverse projects that define our industry within our business unit, Buildings and Industry, West. This position is ideal for someone who thrives on collaboration, has a strategic mindset, proficient data handling abilities, and aims to optimize resource management practices in engineering.
You will join a network of skilled Resource Managers across COWI and within the business working together to ensure a seamless and holistic staffing approach across our business and within the assigned business unit.
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Provide ongoing support to our Head of Engineering and Head of Consultancy, coordinating staffing requests from bids and projects in collaboration with Head of Disciplines and the market organization
- Report weekly on short-to-mid-term capacity levels in disciplines, as well as potential specific gaps in capabilities, with responsibility for keeping accurate and up-to-date data on resource supply and demand
- Facilitate coordination with other Resource Managers and the Indian and Lithuanian colleagues to optimize resource utilization and have good understanding of the work in relation to cross-disciplinary projects; this across Disciplines and Engineering areas in Buildings and Industry and other Executing Units in close collaboration with the Head of Disciplines
- Support Head of Engineering and Head of Consultancy in the overall workforce planning processes
- Engage in close collaboration with Project Managers, including multidisciplinary teams and business development

On top of that, you will have:
- Experience with workforce planning from the consultancy industry, combined with an understanding of how a project-based company operates (COWI uses Power BI’s, Maconomy, Orbit and Sharepoint to coordinate resources)
- The ability to manage and maintain an overview of multiple ongoing activities and projects in a structured manner, hence a great data driven approach and understanding
- Strategically identifying and addressing challenges, with effective capability to maintain constructive and continuous dialogue with key stakeholders, including Project Managers, Heads of Disciplines, and Market Directors
- To effectively fulfill this role, it's important that you thrive in an outward-facing position with a broad stakeholder landscape and are comfortable engaging collaboratively across all levels
- A proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and Danish, with a focus on clarity and conciseness
- Keen attention to detail and ensuring high data quality in staffing and planning processes
You will embark on a learning journey and contribute to shaping the resource manager role as it evolves within COWI. The Resource Manager role is still a new role in COWIs blue print, hence we do not have all the answers yet.
