About the Communications Internship
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, branding, digital content creation, and translating complex sustainability topics into accessible, compelling narratives.
As a Communications Intern, you will help shape how Circular Innovation Lab communicates its mission and global work to diverse audiences, including policymakers, businesses, researchers, and the wider sustainability community.
What You Will Work On
During this internship, you will gain hands-on experience in strategic communications and content development, including:
- Creating a social media strategy for Circular Innovation Lab
- Managing LinkedIn and Instagram channels, including content planning and publishing
- Developing messaging for newsletters, articles, and digital campaigns
- Supporting the team in building a communications and marketing system for the think tank
- Assisting with visibility and communications for World Circular Economy Forum side events See: https://www.circularinnovationlab.com/events
- Collaborating with a global team on communication needs for ongoing circular economy projects

Essential Requirements
- Strong written and spoken English
- Genuine interest in circular economy and sustainable development
- Understanding of social media trends and audience engagement
- Ability to follow global circular economy news and communicate it effectively
- Creativity, diligence, and attention to detail
Preferred Skills
- Experience with social media management or content creation
- Basic design skills (Canva, Adobe, Figma, etc.)
- Ability to think strategically about branding and communications
- Previous experience in sustainability communications (a plus, not required)
