To strengthen our presence in Central Europe, we are now looking for an Area Sales Manager BtB for Southern Germany & Austria, with a strong commercial focus on our core segments: Office, Hospitality and High-End Residential. Start date is January 1st, 2026
About the role
In this key commercial role, you will represent Louis Poulsen towards architects, interior designers, lighting designers, engineers, project developers and contractors. Your primary responsibility is to expand our position in the project market by developing long-term customer relationships and driving sales growth within our strategic focus segments.
You will work from your home office and travel extensively within your sales area. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments and the broader Central Europe team.
You will report directly to the Head of BtB, Central Europe.
Your responsibilities
- Drive sales growth and secure strong gross margins within your region
- Build, manage and expand long-term relationships with key stakeholders in Office, Hospitality and High-End Residential projects
- Actively identify new business opportunities and grow the project pipeline according to our corporate strategy
- Promote Louis Poulsen’s lighting philosophy and product portfolio, ensuring strong brand positioning in the market
- Conduct customer visits, consultations and project follow-ups to ensure high-quality support
- Provide customers with up-to-date product information, new launches, lighting philosophy (FCA) and promotional activities
- Maintain a high level of market and competitor insight
- Prepare and follow up on quotations, campaigns and sales activities
- Maintain accurate data in our CRM system and work towards defined sales KPIs
- Participate in relevant fairs, exhibitions and industry events (national and international)
- Build networks within the architecture, design and lighting community
About you
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Area Sales Manager who is motivated by building customer relationships, developing projects and strengthening our market presence in premium lighting.
You ideally bring a strong network, technical/design affinity and experience within BtB project sales, preferably in lighting or adjacent industries.
You bring a mix of these qualities and skills:
- Outgoing, proactive self-starter with strong commercial drive
- Established network in the architecture, design or lighting industry
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Structured, independent and reliable way of working
- Confident in premium design and technically complex solutions
- Fluent in German and English (written & verbal)
- Strong planning, negotiation and analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office and CRM systems
- High willingness to travel within South Germany & Austria (essential)
