About our game
Tectonicus: On the Edge of War synthesizes the mechanics of turn-based strategy games based on the history of the Vikings. To succeed, you are to use strategic thinking when placing heroes, commanders, and units on the board, as well as building synergic decks that emphasize each faction’s unique strengths.
Apart from online PvP battles, Tectonicus will be featuring a full-scale story mode. The player will be called to restore history lost in contradicting accounts and theories, and scholars’ disputes, by reincarnating significant battles and living through them as warlords, across centuries.
About your department
You will be joining the Business Development department, which is responsible for managing and executing all commercial and organizational tasks within our startup. This dynamic department is divided into three main sections:
- HR
- SoMe and Marketing
- UI/UX Researchers & Design
- Financing and soft funding
You will have a say in developing, picking, and choosing tasks from the Trello board. You can prioritize what aligns with your strengths and interests. We encourage you to challenge yourself and take on tasks that may be outside of your comfort zone.
The position can be either on-site, hybrid, or remote. We are part of three co-working office spaces located in Copenhagen at Amager and Nørrebro, and Frederiksberg. This is an unpaid position. We are actively looking for funding, as we are bootstrapping now
The position & responsibilities
You will be the key driver in polishing the business plan, business model, and building strong business cases for our team, aligning it with our values.
- Develop onboarding and offboarding material, practices, and processes, and assist in carrying out our onboarding/offboarding
- Conducting or assisting with workplace investigations of how to improve the work environment, culture and work processes, and productivity
- Research, plan, and carry out team activities to improve team spirit
- Research, plan, and optimize how our internal communication system and channels, such as Discord, can be improved
- Assist in the evaluation of how company strategies are carried out, and assist in optimizing how to execute them
- Research opportunities of activities of our incubators and ecosystem, and coordinate with them regarding our participation
- Research external opportunities that can level up our skills and knowledge
- Research and disseminate the latest HR research and state-of-the-art practices to work with our team to improve
Some tasks will be practical, such as calling external parties; others will be theoretical and analytical. You will update your own tasks on our online system.
Requirements
- Attend our weekly business meeting and end-of-the-week wrap-up / social event as well.
- You can communicate well in English
- Either experience working in a startup, studying a business degree, or having graduated

Details
This position can be either full-time or part-time, and you are requested to work between 20 -37 hours a week.
The position can be taken as a remote position or with some on-site days.
As we are currently seeking funding, the position will be unpaid, but it can contribute to an internship. There will be 1-4 open positions in this role.
Our offices are located in three locations: Copenhagen at Amager/Nørrebro and Frederiksberg.

Planned interview process
We plan to carry out two rounds of online interviews (or onsite if possible) in the mid-end of January/February, potentially on a weekend. You can apply as long as this is open.
Starting date: We can have you start in Q1 2026, but you can also sign up for an internship later in 2026. Please note we reply as fast as possible, but not as fast as big corporations, and since we send a lot of mail, some might reach your spam folder, so please make sure to check that folder. We usually reply to emails within 3-4 days. But we are mostly closed in December, so please expect replies in January.
