You will play an important role in:

  • Taking the technical lead in developing complex hydraulic systems in close collaboration with colleagues and suppliers of hydraulic components.
  • Creating and maintaining design concepts for hydraulic systems, ensuring seamless integration with surrounding systems for optimal performance.
  • Aligning technical requirements, system performance, and engineering expectations.
  • Participate in development projects, work packages, or task forces, where your technical expertise ensures cross-functional coordination and progress.
  • Communicate design concepts to suppliers, customers, and engineering departments.
  • Coordinate the validation and approval of third-party hydraulic components.
  • Share technical expertise by mentoring or setting a good example.
  • Ensuring that final design concepts and improvements are thoroughly documented.
  • Contributing to ideation and concept development processes.
  • Participating in troubleshooting and test activities and applying lessons learned to future designs.

We imagine that you:

  • Bring industry experience in developing fluid systems and managing projects, including stakeholder engagement and technical documentation.
  • Have solid expertise in hydraulic system design and development, preferably within large engine or industrial applications.
  • See the bigger picture without losing attention to detail, understanding the relevance of tasks and problems in the context of the organisation and the final product.
  • Have skills in clear and concise technical writing, ability to identify and describe key points accurately. Proficiency in creating process and hydraulic diagrams using dedicated software will be an advantage.
  • Excel at building and maintaining a strong network of stakeholders, confidently presenting your work at the right level for the audience and driving your agenda in meetings.
  • Demonstrate a proactive mindset with the ability to take ownership and accountability for your area.
  • Hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in engineering, or a B.Sc. combined with equivalent specialist skills gained through experience.

Welcome to Hydraulic Systems Development
You will join the experts team within our Hydraulic Systems Development function, part of Everllence’s two-stroke R&D division. Our team is responsible for:

  • Developing and specifying hydraulic systems for 2-stroke engines, including on-engine and off-engine applications.
  • Developing and qualifying hydraulic components such as control valves, pumps, filters, and accumulators in collaboration with suppliers.
  • Dimensioning flow paths and hydraulic blocks, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Supporting correct application through documentation, modelling, and field data analysis.
  • Supporting testing of hydraulic components and systems on rigs and in operational environments.
  • Troubleshooting concept-related issues in service.
