Logistics and Transit Coordinator

Are you experienced in accounting and looking for a stable role with growth opportunities? We are recruiting a Logistics & Transit Consultant to join our team in Gabon on a fixed 6-month contract with the possibility of an extension. This position is key to supporting daily operations and assisting the General Manager.

What is in it for you
You will be part of a small, agile team in Gabon where your work directly supports on-site operations and decision-making. In this position, you will gain significant insight into finance and operations, enhancing your understanding of voyage costs, vendor accounting, and budget management.
The tasks that await you
Your key responsibilities will be within the two following areas:
Customs & Regulatory Compliance
- Manage and follow up on customs clearance processes for imports and exports.
- Ensure full compliance with local customs laws, duties, taxes and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with customs authorities, 3rd parties and relevant government entities.
- Implement and maintain efficient procedures for permits, licenses and documentation.
Logistics Coordination
- Coordinate transportation, shipment scheduling and mobilization/demobilization of equipment.
- Manage the mooring team house, inventory.
- Optimize logistics costs and improve supply chain performance.
- Anticipate challenges and resolve operational bottlenecks.
Your core qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- Hold 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar role (Transit or logistics).
- Have solid knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.
- Is fluent in English and French.
- Is based in Gabon or is willing to relocate.
Moreover, we are looking for a candidate who shows curiosity, a willingness to acquire new skills and a keen eye for detail, with a basic grasp of commercial concepts.
An approachable nature and problem-solving skills are significant, as you will need to interact with a broad array of stakeholders.
The process
The recruitment process consists of two interviews, supplemented by a personality and cognitive assessment, which you will have to complete before the interview.
We expect you to join in January 2026.
