You will report to the Head of Cape, who is located in Copenhagen.

As Senior Chartering Manager, you will be instrumental in creating real commercial value — from securing cargo and COAs to expanding into new markets. This role allows you to set an example while offering significant contributions — across commercial, strategic and personal levels.
The task that await you
As the Senior Chartering Manager, you will:
- Run the day-to-day book and make decisions on fixtures, positions and trades to maximise earnings on own tonnage and cargoes. Generating business through active market involvement.
- Coordinate closely with our commercial teams to align strategy, positions and customer coverage, ensuring seamless collaboration and knowledge sharing across desks.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, brokers, owners and internal stakeholders; secure short/medium-term contracts and COAs where relevant.
- Analyse and share market views, incorporating research insights into trading strategies with support from the Market Research team.
- Work closely with Operations on ongoing voyages to optimise results and ensure a high level of service to clients.
Your core qualifications
You are a skilled Capesize charterer who is adept at making decisions, handling daily operations and attracting new clients.
Your ability to negotiate and understand commercial dynamics is complemented by an extensive knowledge of the market and a talent for timing trades appropriately.
Your ability to forge connections is complemented by your comfort with numerical concepts. You express yourself clearly and work collaboratively across different functions and geographic areas.
