As our Training & Communications Specialist, you will join a newly established department, Global Consumer Services, focusing on building, shaping, and integrating our new global consumer service approach in the VELUX Group with the purpose of bringing us even closer to our customers. To ensure effective integration of our services (Design Advisory and Installation services) and digital platform, and to facilitate effective adoption by our Design Advisory teams using the systems on a daily basis when advising and selling our solutions to end-customers, we are looking for a new colleague with an interest in digital platforms or systems and experience in specifying and developing target appropriate user training to facilitate successful system adoption.

Your challenges

You will collaborate closely with our Product Owners to understand technical features of the digital platform and upcoming releases of new digital services or features, and you will work closely with Market Managers to identify and understand system training needs. Combining these insights, you will be responsible for specifying, developing and facilitating training activities with the purpose of capability building, onboarding and upskilling colleagues and partners in our sales and homeowner advisory services – the ones using the platform and services in their daily contact with our customers. Moreover, you will provide communication to main target groups about our implementation of new ways of working and systems to support this, and you will plan the adoption journey and provide release plan communications.

More specifically, you will:

  • Utilise your technical insight, systems training experience and knowledge about target groups to specify the requirements for the training material
  • Identify competency gaps and training needs in collaboration with relevant stakeholders
  • Team up with external partner to develop training material, e.g. more complex e-learning, or produce the material and content yourself, depending on the requirements specified and the competencies needed
  • Develop training project plans and implement training projects from start to finish
  • Train the trainer
  • Work closely with regional directors and their management team to align on roadmap and ensure effective implementation of our training concepts in Global Consumer Services
  • Interview key stakeholders such as functional leads, users etc. to give context and input to your change communication

You will report to Head of Business Integration, Per Mikael Åkesson.

Since this is a role with global responsibilities and activities, you should expect a certain amount of international travelling - approx. 50 days/year.

Your qualifications

As a person, you take the initiative to get things done, and you have a positive attitude and an energy that inspires. Change, training and communication is what makes you tick, and you have an interest in connecting people, systems and processes. You are a proficient communicator with a profound technical insight into digital platforms or systems (e.g. ERP, CRM, ATS or similar) and an ability to learn and understand technical features and you are able to communicate what is complex in a simple manner. Through your ability to involve, listen, understand, and level yourself with your audience, you successfully enable our advisors to learn, understand and perform at their best through appropriate training materials. You thrive in an outgoing role, and you easily work across the organization and engage with internal as well as external stakeholders. You are a positive team member who is collaborative, structured, pragmatic and enjoys getting things done.

Additionally, you:

  • Bring some years of experience working with implementation of systems or digital platforms incl. specifying training material requirements, developing training concepts, content and materials
  • Are a proficient presenter (F2F and virtually) and workshop facilitator
  • Probably hold a Bachelor’s degree in a business oriented topic and understand the commercial customer perspective
  • Speak and write English at a professional level
