Would you like to be part of our Terma Space Team working on an exciting ESA planet exploration program? The work would be performed at the customer premises in Stevenage, UK.

You are assigned to support to the development of certain parts of the CSW. The development process is split into the following sub-tasks:
1. Engineering
2. Production
3. Validation

Your activity encompasses (among others) the following tasks:
Engineering part :
- Software specification & validation test cases specification
- Contribute to the Technical Specification and Validation Test Case Specification (TS)

Production part:
- Contribute to the software component production development process withinthe activities “Detailed Design“, “Coding”, “Unit and Integration Test cases
specification” and “implementation”
- Responsible for writing of the Software Technical Specification for the components, which refines the input Software System Specification (SSS)
with respect to interfaces.
- Contribute to inputs for budget engineering, cross-reading and establishing traceability to user requirements in the Software Verification Report (SVR).
- Produce the software TM/TC ICD related to the Software Requirements Specification (SRS), for definition of the software database interfaces using
environment and tools (e.g. DOORS).

Validation and Verification part:
- Validation of components from the start of the validation against TS through to
the end of validation against RB (at SW-QR).
- Organise verification by means of a peer review reading task using as inputs the applicable documents, SSSs and IRDs.
- Verification against Check-List containing the items to be verified.

You should be available in Summer 2024. Work location would be at customer premises in Stevenage, UK.

How to succeed in this position?
We are searching for a system engineer with the following required skills:
Mandatory requirements:
- Master degree or equivalent qualification in Space Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Avionics or a related discipline.
- Proven hands-on experience in Java and C/C++.
- Experience on system requirements management and test planning (e.g Dassault Systèmes Reqtify, Adobe Framemaker, or Rational DOORS).
- Familiar with space systems engineering and testing standards, such as ECSS
and MIL-STD.
- Previous experience with source revision control system (e.g. Git).
Desired skills:
- Participation in OBSW development.
- Involvement with Real-Time processing.
Optional skills:
- Awareness or previous involvement on using SVFs (e.g SimTG or Simulus)
- Experience of Systems Integration.
- Familiarity with Matlab/Simulink or GNU Octave.
- Knowledge of basic linux commands.
- Ability to work with Agile practices.
