Mid / Senior .NET Developer (Integration Specialist)

The primary location for this role is the Blue Water Shipping’s office in Gdansk. We encourage flexibility and hybrid work, but we expect our team members to meet at the office some days every week.

Over the past three years, we’ve embarked on an ambitious digital transformation journey, focusing on customer-centricity and optimizing our IT services. As we continue to grow, we’re establishing a new team in Poland, and this role will be instrumental in shaping our expansion efforts.

Position Overview:
As a Senior Developer in the Integration team, you’ll be at the forefront of designing, creating, and maintaining integrations between systems. Your expertise will bridge the gap between technical intricacies and practical solutions. Collaboration with multiple application teams will be key, as you contribute to the end-to-end process, ensuring it is efficient and reliable, and also meets Blue Water’s needs.

Strong backend development skills are a must-have, but if you also have an interest in roles such as Scrum master or a solution architect, they would be a valuable addition.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop .NET applications.
• Integrate systems using RESTful APIs, FTP, and Message Queues.
• Manage version control and automate deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot integration issues.
• Collaborate with application teams in an Agile environment.
• Mentoring junior colleagues, providing technical guidance and sparring

Your background

• Master's degree in an IT related field.
• .NET Development: Proficient in utilizing the .NET Core framework to build robust and customized applications that fulfil specific integration needs.
• Integration Technologies: Experienced in working with various integration technologies, including RESTful APIs, FTP, and Message Queues
• Version Control and DevOps: Familiarity with version control systems (such as Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
• Azure Services and Platform Knowledge: Understand Azure’s services— Especially storage, Function App's, SQL, Key Vault, and Service Bus
• Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve integration issues efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation of integrated systems.
• Collaborative Team Player: Effective communicator and team player, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and stakeholders, to deliver integrated solutions aligned with business objectives.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in Agile environments, delivering iterative solutions, and adapting to changing requirements and priorities.
• 5-10 years of experience in the field.

Practical Details:
Location: The role is primarily on-site at Aleja Grunwaldzka 347, Gdansk, Poland (with occasional travel to Esbjerg, Denmark or Warsaw).

Blue Water Shipping is headquartered in Esbjerg Denmark. IT development teams are in Esbjerg and Gdańsk. Location of this role will be placed in Gdańsk. You should expect 3-4 travels a year to the HQ in Esbjerg, Denmark.
