With the needs of our users and Coloplast’s strategic priorities as our point of departure, scope the solution space, mature new technologies, and through innovation projects and programs we bring ideas from early concepting to mass production and marketing.
You drive our innovation projects with structure and clarity on goals.
Your overall responsibility will be to scope, plan and execute one or more innovation projects either as stand-alone projects or as part of bigger programs. You will be working closely together with a highly competent team of internal specialists across the whole company and your cross functional leadership role is to shape the project objectives, ensure the necessary project organisation and structures, set the direction, and drive your projects execution according to our stage gate model.
Projects usually last from 3-6 years with project teams of 10-30 employees and 2-10 direct project-reports.
During the different stages of the projects, you will:
- Work to scope the project and define key requirements for intended solution
- Define the necessary team and plan the work in the project
- Coach the individual allocated team members and provide feedback and opportunities to support their professional and personal development
- Drive and evaluate the technical achievements in the projects and adjust plan and scope in close alignment with your steering group
- Collaborate with the line managers of the project participants regarding planning of resources
- Communicate to your team and the organisation of progress in your projects
- Be responsible for the financial management of the project
You are also expected to participate in developing the way we work with solution projects as we seek to be an organisation with a learning and improving mindset.
You will be part of a larger team of 30 + project managers covering diverse disciplines
The Innovation Project Management team comprises of Technical Project Managers, Program Managers, and Program Directors.
You will grow! - In this team you will have the opportunity to broaden your skills, develop into other management disciplines and progress your professional project management career.
Experienced technically minded project manager with strong communication skills
You are characterised by working in a structured way and uncertainties that are natural in early-stage solution projects are not a stress factor to you or your team. You are confident in reaching out proactively to stakeholders to seek knowledge and support and you master working with a broad range of competences also outside your own domain.
You should also preferably:
- Have +5 years of project management experience within a technical field – this could for example be the medico, chemical or plastics industry
- Have a MSc/BSc within a field of engineering, chemistry, biology, innovation, medical devices, or have a similar technical background
- You have excellent networking skills and a proactive approach to collecting knowledge and ensuring personal development
- You communicate effortlessly in written and spoken English
