Project Manager for renewable energy projects in Romania

Your new team
You will join our engaged and dedicated Project Development team in Romania, which currently consists of three colleagues. They are part of a larger department with the primary aim of developing renewable energy projects in South Eastern Europe. The team works closely together with colleagues based in our HQ in Copenhagen and with team members from some of the other markets – and you will do the same.

How you will make an impact
As our new Project Manager, your focus will be on developing and handling our wind- and solar (PV) projects in Romania in order to build up the Romanian pipeline. Currently we are looking for two new colleagues, and we expect to expand the team as the pipeline grows, which will bring interesting opportunities to this role.

Your areas of responsibility

• You handle the project development process, moving the projects from inception to ready to build (RTB) status, where you hand it over to the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) team.
• You prepare and submit project applications and documentation to relevant authorities.
• You engage and coordinate with internal stakeholders, in particular the EPC team, as well as external service providers and local suppliers.
• You prepare the project development expense budgets and follow its execution.
• You prepare the project development plan and follow its execution
• You participate in setting the Strategy in the Country
• You screen and identify land plots and potential areas for renewable energy development projects.
• You negotiate and lead the process of signing the land lease agreements with landowners.
• You evaluate new greenfield, brownfield, and RTB wind and solar (PV) projects.
• You stay up-to-date on overall renewable energy market development.
• You maintain the relation with the local community
• You represent the Company in local events and Associations

Your profile

• You have a relevant university degree or similar, within e.g., engineering, business administration, or finance.
• You have significant experience with project management and developing large infrastructure projects, preferably from renewable energy or construction sector.
• You are have good communication skills and are fully proficient in English and Romanian.
• You have experience working with Microsoft Office.
• You have a driving license.

You have solid interpersonal and collaboration skills to negotiate with various stakeholders. You show flexibility, have good structural skills, and thrive in a motivated and multidisciplinary environment.
