Nel Hydrogen is experiencing substantial growth, and we are now searching for a motivated Design Engineer to strengthen our capacity within product development and testing.
The person we are looking for will be part of our Product & Development Team, and focus on the development of new solutions, further development of existing technology and testing products at our brand-new test center at Notodden. The position reports to the Product Development & Test Manager and can be based in Notodden (preferred) or Oslo, Herøya/Porsgrunn or Trondheim.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Project engineering, concept development, detail design, testing and reporting
- 3D modelling in Solid Works and preparation of fabrication documents
- Preparation and checking of documents and BOM (Bill of Material) in Teamcenter
- Post processing of raw data and assessment against acceptance criteria
- Project engineering in projects and FEEDS as required
- Participate in and facilitate design reviews
- Participate in testing of equipment as required
- Manufacturing follow-up as required
Key qualifications
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering. Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education.
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience with commercial products or plant design - Graduates will also be evaluated for the position, Nel Hydrogen is an excellent company to start your career
- Good knowledge of and understanding of relevant codes and standards
- System understanding and experience with P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Good written and verbal communications skills in English. Good Norwegian skills would be a great advantage
