About the job
We are looking for a motivated lawyer who will assume the role of Senior Legal Counsel, EMEA to support the business of the WS Audiology group in the areas of legal and compliance for the EMEA region. You will be part of a highly driven and motivated multi-cultural international team of lawyers.

You will act as strategic legal partner to all functions, business leads and their teams in EMEA to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice and guidance to support the growth and expansion of the business in EMEA region. In addition to legal topics and advice, you will support to implement global compliance policies, processes and trainings for the EMEA region.

Responsibilities:
Include but are not limited to the following:

    • Serve as key point of contact to EMEA Regional President, cluster and/or country business leads in EMEA and function leads and provide succinct and business-oriented advice and solutions on legal issues and risks arising out of day-to-day operations.
    • Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts with customers/vendors and any other third parties and sales and marketing materials.
    • Demonstrate a good understanding of antitrust/competition law and principles for EMEA and act as an antitrust/competition adviser to internal business clients regarding how to implement initiatives in a manner that is consistent with anti-trust principles, WSA’s compliance policies and relevant regulations for EMEA.
    • Support the R&D team on R&D contracts (including collaboration agreements and development contracts).
    • Assist with implementation of WSA compliance program for EMEA, including its whistleblower policy, AMLA policy, anti-bribery compliance policy, third party due diligence process and related tools. This also includes investigations of compliance-related complaints and to ensure that the disciplinary and compliance reporting procedures are properly implemented for EMEA.
    • Managing governmental antitrust/competition related inquiries as well as litigation and dispute resolution matters for EMEA, including management of outside counsel and costs.
    • Conduct trainings for employees on such other legal and/or compliance topics as may be assigned.
    Experience/Required Skills:
    • At least 5+ years PQE in a leading law firm and/or as an in-house counsel from an established MNC, preferably with applicable experience from the Healthcare/med Tech/ medical device industry
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to work collaboratively, with a solution-oriented approach, in teams within legal, business, and functional areas.
    • Self-motivated, proactive individual with a robust personality who is able to work independently, with an ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic corporate environment
    • Excellent judgment and someone who is confident taking risk-based decisions and to constructively challenge senior leaders when needed.
    • Forward thinking team player with a flexible attitude with respect to work assignments and new learning.
