Orifarm is seeking an analytical OTC Business Development Manager with great networking skills to lead the identification and realization of new OTC product opportunities from concept to execution.

Establish and cultivate strong networks in the OTC landscape

In this position, you will report to the Head of Development, OTC, and play a pivotal role in product development ideation, leveraging market insights to identify promising opportunities aligned with the overall OTC strategy. Specifically, you will search for in-licensing and potential external development opportunities for products (e.g. new tastes, formats, devices, combinations), conduct thorough analyses to ensure alignment with company goals, negotiate and conclude contracts as well as give inputs required to calculate business cases for new opportunities. Additionally, external and internal stakeholder management will be a big part of the role. As such, establishing and maintaining strong networks within the OTC and medical device landscape is crucial. Through proactive relationship-building efforts, you will foster strategic partnerships with potential licensors, developers, and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs). This enables you to stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive insights, ensuring a continuous pipeline of innovative opportunities. Likewise, you will actively participate in external meeting forums, representing Orifarm and leveraging your industry knowledge to identify new product leads and potential collaborations. Internally, you will work cross functionally to align project priorities and planning, ensuring seamless coordination and execution across teams. Finally, it is essential that you are based in driving distance from an Orifarm site or office in Northern Europe.

Product Developer with a few years of OTC/pharma experience

You must bring a relevant academic background within Business, Finance, Pharmacy, Chemical Engineering. Likewise, it is a prerequisite that you have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical and/or medical device landscape, specifically in developing and in-licensing of OTC and/or Rx products, both branded and generic. Your expertise extends to registration procedures, documentation requirements, and legal contractual nuances, ensuring compliance and facilitating seamless negotiation processes. Your strong analytical skills enable you to extract actionable insights from data, contributing to informed decision-making and strategic planning. Additionally, your experience in international environments provides you with cultural adaptability, enabling you to navigate diverse markets and forge successful partnerships.
