AAK Aarhus
AAK Denmark (Aarhus) Founded in 1871 and located in the Port of Aarhus, AAK Denmark is our oldest site, and the world’s largest producer of shea oil and fats. These are mostly used in the chocolate and confectionery industries, but shea oil is also used in cosmetics. Our highly automated production process runs 24/7 – 365 days a year, supervised by expert operators from our central control room. Our oil and fats laboratory is responsible for the development of AAK’s global process technologies, which contribute to cleaner and more efficient manufacturing, and more sustainable end products. Our product development team manages development activity across the group, in close collaboration with the Customer Innovation Centre. Our site’s large IT team also works across the globe.

About the role
As Senior Buyer for our in-direct spend you will in close co-operation with all relevant stakeholders be responsible for executing sourcing project within in-direct categories e.g. Facility management, Professional Services and IT.

You will also be a part of the process how to identify potential sourcing initiatives with the overall purpose to reduce our risk and overall costs by, simplification, harmonization, standardization, volume bundling, smarter procurement and digitalization.
As the senior buyer you will be the driving force in creating the value optimization identified.
Our ultimate goal for you as Senior Buyer for indirect Procurement, is for you to secure alignment across all involved functions and provide clarity, enabling all to stay informed and feel engaged and to ensure the standardized indirect categories delivering value to the business in form of, lower costs, risk mitigation and better quality.

Responsibilities
As the Senior Buyer your responsibilities will be:

• Conduct spend analyses and ongoing risk assessment in cross-functional teams within the direct categories.
• Develop the supplier base securing the delivery of service/products in accordance with quality standard and required delivery performance from the business units.
• Negotiation of contract, improved Prices and terms of business with suppliers and review opportunities to make business savings utilizing negotiation and procurement best practice tools and methods.
• Build, implement and /or participate in Request for Proposals (RFPs) Processes, bid evaluation and other analytical models with transparency on cost drivers in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Management of Strategic supplier Relationships and review of performance in collaboration with relevant internal stakeholders.
• Management of Internal Stakeholders including members of the Senior Management Team.
• Maintenance of Procurement Systems including Supplier Approvals, Contract Management and ERP systems.
• Develop ideas and strategies to improve operational efficiency, add value, aid business performance work towards a strategy of continuous improvement.
• Support Category managers in developing strategies for the indirect categories and secure local needs are met.
• Knowledge sharing with procurement colleagues to strengthen and enhance best practice within procurement.

About you
The ideal candidate ticks of many of the boxes below, however we don’t expect you to be advanced in all of them. And off course there will be thorough onboarding and support in guiding you to success in the role.

• A university degree, bachelor or equivalent by job experience.
  
• Strong procurement background, experienced in keeping many sourcing projects “live” at the same time.
• Good stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate at all levels in the organization.
• Knowledge of supplier selection and evaluation standards, processes, and methods.
• Extensive knowledge on contract management.
• Capability to development, implementation, and follow up on sourcing projects launched.
• Skilled in handling and executing tenders as well as negotiations.
• Experience og interest in procurement of indirect products and services
